4 Ways How to Add Snapchat Friends

Snapchat has dropped some of the features, for example, is the search nearby Snapchat where you can no longer add friends by using the “Add nearby Friends” anymore.

ADD USING SUGGESTED MUTUAL FRIENDS

Here is one the updated feature of Snapchat adds friends function. If you already have added some of your friends in Snapchat, Snapchat will then show you some of your possible mutual friends. This is based on shared friends that your friends have.

Step 1

Open Snapchat. Tap your icon above

Step 2

Tap “Add Friends” at your profile menu

Step 3

Snapchat will show you “Quick Add”. The quick add is mutual friends that you have with your current Snapchat friends.

ADD USING PHONE’S CONTACT ADDRESS

If you are friend with the person you want to add, you would generally have added them inside your phone’s address book. Therefore, if they are also using Snapchat, highly likely that they are also using the same phone number that is linked to their Snapchat account.

Here are the steps on how you can add them using your phone’s contact address

Step 1

Open Snapchat. Tap your icon above

Step 2

Tap “Add Friends” at your profile menu

Step 3

At the “Add Friends” section, tap “Contacts”. You will see friends you have in your phone’s contacts address book that also have a Snapchat account.

Snapchat identifies them based on their phone number that is registered to their Snapchat account.

ADD USING SNAPCODE

Step 1

Open Snapchat. Tap your icon above

Step 2

Tap “Add Friends” at your profile menu

Step 3

At “Add Friends” section, tap “Snapcode.”

However, make sure you have your friends Snapcode first that was saved in your phone’s photo gallery.

ADD USING SNAPCHAT USERNAME

Also, if you know your friend’s Snapchat username, you can always immediately use it as a way to add them as your Snapchat friend.

Open Snapchat. Tap your icon above

Step 2

Tap “Add Friends” at your profile menu

Step 3

At the “Add Friends” section, tap the search column at the above

Step 4

Once you find your friend’s Snapchat username, tap “+Add” to add them
