How to Block Someone From Seeing Your FB friends

If you have been using Facebook for some time, you might have accumulated a long list of Facebook friends. Some of your Facebook friend’s list you might know intimately and some you might not. However, there will come a time where you do not want some of your friends to know who is on your Facebook friend’s list. 

WHY YOU DO NOT WANT SOME PEOPLE TO SEE YOUR FACEBOOK FRIENDS

There are many personal reasons that someone does not want others to know their Facebook friend’s list.

Here are some of the top reasons

  1.  Do not want people to know their circle of friends
  2. Do not want a friend to know they have mutual friends
  3. Do not want a family member to know who they are friends with
  4. Do not want people to know how many friends they have
  5. Do not want to be judged based on who they are friends with

So, for whatever reason you have, and you are interested to know how to do this,

Here are the steps

In your phone, open the Facebook app.

In the Facebook app, tap the three line at the bottom

Scroll down to the Settings & Privacy, tap “Settings.”

Step 3

Tap “Privacy Settings”

In the Privacy Settings, tap “Who can see your friends list?”

Step 5

Tap “Only Me” if you want to hide your friend’s list from everybody except you

You can also choose other privacy settings based on your privacy preference.

If you do not mind for anyone to see your Facebook friends list, choose “Public“. By selecting this option, everyone including people who are not in your friend’s list can also see who your friends are.

However, if you want a bit of privacy, choose “Friends“. This is the default option where only your friends on Facebook who your friends are.

You can also choose specific friends that can see your friends by selecting either the “Friends except..” or the “Specific friends” that can see your friends list.
