How to Disable Snapchat Discover

Snapchat Discover is a way Snapchat showing you Snap content from Snapchatters around the world. The Discover can show you trending Snap story as well as content that might be of your preference. It is one of the ways you can discover a Snapchat story from people that are not within your circle of friends and followers. You can also subscribe to certain Snapchatters after you discover their content in the Discover feed.

WHY DISABLE SNAPCHAT DISCOVER?

Here are some of the top reasons why you should disable the Discover feature.

  1. NOT RELATED CONTENT – The Snapchat Discover would sometime show you unrelated content to you. The content might also not of your preference. Having the ability to disable the content from showing at your Snapchat feed would be beneficial for you.
  2. FOCUS ON CONTENT THAT MATTERS – By selecting and filtering the Snapchat Discover, the feed would notice your preference and would then show you content in the Discover that is more to your liking. This would enable you to get newsfeed in the Discover that matters to you.

HOW TO HIDE DISCOVER CONTENT

Step 1

At your Snapchat camera screen, swipe to the left

Step 2

You will be shown the “Discover” area

Press at any “Discover” content you do not like for more than two seconds

A pop-up menu will be shown. Tap at “Hide from Discover”

The type of content and also that specific Snapchatter will no longer be shown in your Snapchat Discover feed

HOW TO REPORT AND BLOCK CONTENT

Step 1

At the Snapchat Discover menu, tap at the content that you dislike

Step 2

At the snap story, tap at the flag icon below

Step 3

In the Report menu, you can choose which option to report

Step 4

After the report was sent, tap “Block” to block all content from the Snapchatter
