How to Remove Your Snapchat Username from Quick Add

One of the ways you want to quickly increase your Snapchat friends is by letting other people discover you through “Quick Add”. The “Quick Add” is Snapchat recommendation of your Snapchat username to other Snapchat users based on your friends and mutual friends. This would let your Snapchat username being discovered by others more easily. However, for some people, they probably do not want their Snapchat username to appear in the “Quick Add” list.

WHY REMOVE YOUR USERNAME FROM QUICK ADD?

1. WANT TO LIMIT YOUR SNAPCHAT FRIENDS – One of the quick ways to add friends is by letting other people discover you. However, if you are one of those Snapchat users who only want to keep small followers, removing the Quick Add would be beneficial
2. DO NOT WANT YOUR USERNAME DISCOVERED BY OTHER PEOPLE – Some of us have two or three Snapchat username. Therefore, you probably do not want other people to get confused on which one is your primary username. Therefore, it is better that you remove the Quick Add function on the username you do want others to find

Step 1

At your Snapchat menu, tap your profile icon

Step 2

At your profile icon, tap the “Gear” icon at the top to enter the Settings

Step 3

At Settings, scroll down to the “Who Can..” section. Tap “See me in Quick Add”

Step 4

Disable the “Show me in Quick Add” by tapping the button to the left
