How to See Who Added You on Snapchat

Snapchat is one of the social media platforms that is used mainly for messaging and sharing of stories among friends. Unlike other social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, the user interface is quite different, and some Snapchat users will find it difficult to see specific data.

This data includes how many Snapchat friends you have or who have added you as Snapchat friends. Even with the “Add Friends” feature on Snapchat, there are some limitations. Not necessarily friends that you added on Snapchat will add you back as their Snapchat friend. So, how would you know if they have added you as friends or not?

SNAPCHAT POP-UP NOTIFICATION

If you just added a friend and they immediately added you back, a pop-up notification will appear at the top of your Snapchat screen stating “[Snapchat Username] Added you back. Say hi!”.

As long as you are still using your Snapchat, you will see this pop-up notification.

SNAPCHAT YELLOW BADGES NOTIFICATION

Step 1

In your Snapchat screen, tap the icon profile at the top right. If anyone added you, a yellow badge notification would be shown here.

Step 2

Look at the list of friends that have added you. All the new friends will have a yellow circle badge in their profile thumbnail picture.

This new friends also includes friends who have added you but not necessarily from friends that you have. Scroll down and find the friends that have added you back as a result from you added them first.  

SEARCH SNAPCHAT FRIEND’S LIST

Step 1

Open Snapchat. Go to your profile.

At your profile, tap the “Friends” section below. In here, all the friends shown are friends that you added regardless they have added you back or not.

So, you need to know your friend’s snapchat username that you have added and check back here to confirm if he or she have added you back. Friends that have added you back will be shown at the “Friends List” according to alphabetical order.

Step 2

You can scroll down to find your friends that have added you back or use the “Search” column to find friends.
