How to change your Instagram into Dark Mode

The Dark Mode functions have many advantages. Therefore, IPhone has introduced the dark mode function in the latest iOs updates. With this function, some of the app in the iPhone will also appear in Dark Mode when this function is activated. This includes the Instagram app.

WHY CHANGE INTO DARK MODE?

Here are some top reasons why you should change your Instagram account into Dark Mode

1. SAVE ENERGY – Using a black background for your Instagram app will require less energy from your iPhone compared if you are using white background which would require a brighter display. This will save more battery usage in the long term.
2. EASIER TO THE EYES – A darker background will emit less brightness and therefore will not strain your eyes, especially when you use our iPhone at night when there is less light in the surroundings.

So, if you are interested to learn how to activate the dark mode. Here are the steps

:-

Step 1

IN your iPhone, go to “Settings”

Step 2

In “Settings”. Tap at “Control Centre”

Step 3

At “Control Centre”, tap at “Customise Controls”

Step 4

At “Customise Controls”, tap at “plus” icon beside the “Dark Mode” function. This will add the Dark Mode function to Control Centre

Step 5

Next, at your iPhone home screen, swipe up to open the Control Centre menu

Step 6

At the Control Centre menu, tap at the Dark Mode icon there

Once you activated Dark Mode settings, you would notice your iPhone background is a bit darker. Tap at Instagram

Step 7

Tap at Instagram to launch Instagram

Your Instagram account will have a Dark Mode background

Step 8

If you want to change back the Instagram background at your iPhone Control Centre menu, tap at the Dark Mode icon to deactivate the Mode.
