You can download your photos to your mobile phone or PC but how can you download all of your photos at once? Fortunately, Instagram has provided an option where you can request all of your data including your comments and photos to be emailed to you. Here we are going to show you how you can download all of your data at once on Instagram.

WHY DOWNLOAD ALL YOUR PHOTOS?

Here are some of the reasons why people would want to download all of their photos on Instagram at once.

  1. TO CLOSE THEIR ACCOUNT – If you are thinking of closing your Instagram account, you would want to save all the data and records you have on your Instagram account for your safekeeping. 
  2. TO OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT – If you want to move to another Instagram account and do not want to lose the data from your previous account, it would be good if you download the data first before opening up a new Instagram account.
  3. FOR RECORD AND SAFEKEEPING – Another main reason why Instagram users want to download their data is for safekeeping and personal record.

Step 1

At your Instagram profile, tap the three-line dot above

Step 2

A pop-up menu will be shown.

Tap at “Settings”

Step 3

At Settings, tap at “Security”

Step 4

At Security, tap at “Download data”

Step 5

At “Download your data”, tap at “Request Download” there

Step 6

Enter your Instagram account password there to confirm

Step 7

Tap “Done”

It can take up to 48 hours for Instagram to collect the data and send it to you via your email

Step 8

Once you received the email from Instagram, open the email and click at “Download Data”

Step 9

From the link in your email, it will bring you to your Instagram account

Tap at “Download Data”

Step 10

Your data will be downloaded in a zip file format

Tap “Download” to proceed
